Ngurah Rai International Airport or Denpasar International Airport is located in South Kuta district and is just 13 kilometres from Denpasar, the capital of Bali. Flights from major international cities regularly fly in and out of the Denpasar Airport. It is also well connected to most of Indonesia and has regular domestic flights connecting it to major cities within the country. From the airport, you can easily hire a taxi to your destination. Please note that buses might not always be available from the airport.
You can take a bus from Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia) to Bali, but only if you can brave the 23-hour bus journey.
Bali is quite a popular port for most cruise liners traversing through South East Asia. To get into Bali through the sea route, take a flight to Singapore, Sumatra or Java and take a ship for your onward journey to Bali. The information desks at the airport will guide you thoroughly.

Leaving India – How to reach bali from india
Apply for an Indonesia visa if you do not already have one. You could have obtained a visa for Indonesia before leaving the U.S. for India. However, if you did not, you can contact the Indonesian Embassy in India to apply for one.
The other option is to pay for a visa-on-arrival when you land in Bali. To receive a visa-on-arrival, you must present a passport with six months of validity beyond your arrival date, show a round-trip or onward plane ticket and pay the fee.
Select your departure airport. All four of India’s major airports offer flights to Bali: Chattrapathi Shivaji International Airport (csia.in) in Mumbai, Indira Gandhi International (newdelhiairport.in) in New Delhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (http://www.airportsindia.org.in/kolkata/index.jsp) in Kolkata and Chennai International Airport (airportsindia.org.in/chennai/index.jsp) in Chennai.
No matter which airport you leave out of, you will have to make at least one transfer before arriving in Bali.

Bring your passport and Indian tourist visa with you to the airport the the day of your departure. You must present the visa, which you used to get into India, to leave the country.
If you lost it during your stay, you will have to purchase and wait for a new one, a process that takes a few days. You must also present your valid passport and your onward ticket.

Get in the line at the airport in Bali to apply for a visa-on-arrival. This is only if you have not already obtain an Indonesian visa ahead of time.
If you have, you may proceed to customs. At the time of publication, the visa-on-arrival fee was $25.
Present your passport at customs with two blank pages.
The Ngurah Rai International Airport requires international travelers to have two completely blank pages of your passport available to stamp.
Arrange to have money leftover to pay the departure tax at the airport when you are leaving Bali.
